#BEACTIVEDAY2026

The Project #BEACTIVE DAY 2026 is a European initiative within the framework of the Erasmus+ Sport program, aimed at promoting physical activity and a healthy lifestyle. As part of the European Week of Sport, the project brings together partners from several countries in order to motivate more people to work out, more and for longer.

The main focus of the 2026 edition is mental health, highlighting the positive impact of physical activity on psychophysical well-being through various free events and activities. The project connects fitness and sports organizations, institutions and communities, creating opportunities for the inclusion of all age groups and building a more inclusive and healthier society.

 

Through local and national activities, #BEACTIVE DAY 2026 contributes to increasing awareness, participation and capacities in the physical activity sector, with the aim of improving the quality of life of citizens.

👉 #BEACTIVEDAY 2026 is a project co-financed by the European Union, whose main goal is to encourage physical activity, increase awareness of the importance of a healthy lifestyle, and contribute to creating more active, inclusive, and healthier communities across Europe.

Project activities

On March 26 and 27, in the conference rooms of the Limak Hotel in Skopje, a two-day project workshop was held within the framework of the #BEACTIVEDAY 2026 project, which brought together relevant stakeholders from the fitness and sports sector at the European and regional level.

During the first day, over 35 representatives of national fitness associations from several European countries, together with representatives of Macedonian and Balkan fitness centers, as well as members of the NMA. The workshop enabled a structured exchange of knowledge, experiences and good practices, with a special emphasis on:

  • promoting regional and international cooperation in the sector
  • developing long-term strategies for growth and sustainability of the fitness industry
  • strengthening the role of the fitness community in promoting healthy lifestyle habits

A particularly important segment of the program was the lecture by mental health expert, renowned psychologist Radmila Živanović. Through a combination of theoretical overview and interactive approaches, participants had the opportunity to deepen their knowledge about the impact of physical activity on mental health, as well as its role in improving quality of life and psychophysical well-being.

The second day of the project workshop focused on internal coordination between the project consortium partners. In this part, the upcoming activities were discussed in detail, specific tasks and responsibilities were defined, and the timeline for successful implementation of the project at national and European level was determined.

The workshop represents an important step towards strengthening partnerships, improving the capacities of organizations, and ensuring a coordinated approach to the realization of project objectives.
